Leatherwood/Hi-Lux Optics is now adding the Malcolm 8X USMC-SNIPER model to its Wm. Malcolm line of vintage style riflescopes. Not only will this scope match the originals for extremely precise adjustment of windage and elevation, the new made scope also offers the advantages of modern lens making, with fully multi-coated lens surfaces for maximum light transmission. This scope offers the brightest, clearest, and sharpest optics ever in a riflescope of this design. The scope will be marked with the Wm. Malcolm name over the USMC-SNIPER model designation, and each will be serial numbered - as were the original USMC models.

Hi-Lux Optics is now recreating this 1960's era scope for all of those "old school" sharpshooters among us, those who take the time to know the trajectory of the loads they shoot. However, Hi-Lux Optics has made some major internal improvements.

The finishing touches are now being made to this recreation of a vintage scope from the past, and should be on display at the SHOT Show.

Those shooters who have looked through the OD green finished militarized version of what the company has dubbed the M40 USMC riflescope, which features the same reticle as the original, have voiced how much they would like to see the same scope, featuring the same ranging system, offered for today's big game hunter. Hi-Lux Optics listened, and is now introducing a black finished sporting version of the scope - the M40 Tactical Hunter.

This 3-9x40mm hunting scope is built with the same ranging system that Marine Corps snipers relied on in Vietnam - only it has been improved.
