Malcolm 8X (Gen II) Vintage Sniper Competition Scope

It's finally here. We've listened to shooters on the forums, online and at the National Matches. For a limited time, we'll be honoring the pre-order price and offering $50 off MSRP.

The Malcolm 8X Vintage Sniper Competition (VSC) rifle scope is the embodiment of years of constructive feedback and improvements to the Malcolm 8X.  The Malcolm 8X VSC rifle scope is purpose built for vintage sniper matches on the 1903A1 Springfield.

Most notably, this scope features the Unertl style competition micrometer adjustments. These adjustment turrets allow for zero backlash in between clicks and dial precise 1/4 MOA adjustments when the mounts are spaced 7.250" from center to center. The turrets can also be reindexed to "zero" after initial zeroing.

All threads on the rifle tube and objective are significantly improved from the previous generation. The threads turn easily and feel super smooth.

The pope rib on the body has been laser spot welded on to the scope tube for straightness and strength.

All screws in the scope and mounts are hardened for optimal durability.

Make sure you spend the extra money and get the Gen II mounts. You will thank yourself for as long as you shoot the rifle!

Thanks Chris :)

I am very happy with this company. Despite the fact that couriers twice lost or stolen the scope, Mr. Christpher sent a third one, which finally reached me. Very nicely made. Only my mistake, that I unscrewed the turrets all the way and lost the BB's with the cups (but I can handle it somehow - my mistake :)). Anyway A +

I am very pleased with the scope, but have not had an opportunity to take it to the range yet.

Malcolm 8x Gen II

This scope is a vast improvement over the Gen I
Threading improved , Great Glass, Form Fit and Functionality, very good. Comp Rings adjustments excellent, however with that said, more attention to the styling of the rings to a more vintage look would be better, I am sure this makes no difference to comp shooters,
Mine is mounted on a pre 64 Winchester model 70 Gov’t 30-06, using my Unertl blocks, I will say your blocks are improved, even though I did not use them, only had time to shoot at 100 yards, sight in was quick and efficient.
I replaced an aging and tired Lyman target spot 8x with this new scope, I have the Unertl 8x on another Winchester Model 70, The new Gen 2 is competitive with the Unertl in use.
With the Unertl’s being very hard to find in good condition and very Costly, I believe the Malcolm 8x is well worth the price for the person who wants to use this style of optic. Thank You

Finally had a day to get to the range and try out my new scope. So far all my thoughts are positive. The focus ring on the objective end is very tight and hard to turn but it will probably loosen up with use. Its bright and clear, knobs tract well and are tight. Very happy so far.
