Malcolm Optics M73G4 Scope Mount

The M73MT is designed to be mounted on a Springfield 1903A3. The M73MT is non-parkerized. The shooter can parkerize the mount to match the finish of his or her barrel.

This 3/4" scope mount is for use with the Malcolm 2.5X M73G4.

This mount allows the shooter to adjust windage externally using the two screws beneath the rear scope ring.

Does not come with mounting screws

I haven't mounted the base yet as I still need to find a smith to d&t the receiver. The mount seems well made and looks like the original Redfield JR. Disappointed that it did not come with the correct 8-40 Filister head screw, nor does the catalog description say that it comes without screws.

10/10 for customer support. You have my business
The mount sucks, my ring was warped but I was sent a new one quickly and at no cost. I am using Chi-com repro rings with a Leapold base.

1903A4 Build Using Malcolm Optics M73G4 Scope Mount

When attaching the mount it was apparent that the rear portion of the mount was thicker at the receiver contact point such that when fastened in place with the rear screw, the front of the mount spaced away from the receiver. I chose to mill the rear of the receiver at the top of the rear sight block also the area behind it. The amount of material removed was approximately .015 t inch.
The fit is now very solid, but the rifle has not been test fired, so a final approval for the build is not yet possible. The rings seem lock in positively and the gray parkerized finish is very attractive.
