Mounted this sight on a Ruger 22/45 using Ruger's own Picatinny rail base. The sight works very well on this training gun -- a real bargain.
I put the tac dot on my 9 mm carbine. It does not hold zero. It does not have detent supported adjustments. Recoil is a no go for this item. So in the trash it went.
The 1913 base is very well thought out. I really intended to put these on pistols but the alignment pins are on the sight and not the base. So had to use them on long guns. But i really like the sight hopefully they come up with mounts for pistols like the M&P core.
